Director - Gerald Imison
Since acquiring his disability Gerald has received much help and support from the Coalition and sees being a director as providing an opportunity to give back something in recognition of what I have received for the past 3 years.
Gerald was a Senior Trade Union Official working at a national level and so has considerable experience in and understanding of the ways in which Government and local politics work.
He also has experience of campaigning, lobbying and media work, enhanced by attending the Campaign Training day run by the Coalition last year.
Gerald is also a volunteer at WIDE (WIDE provide information, advice and support for disabled people in the Woking area). Through this work he has come to appreciate the many issues facing disabled people with a wide range of impairments, and feels he can help to achieve greater equality of opportunity for disabled people throughout Surrey.
