Director - Sui Ling Leung
Sui-Ling first became involved with SUN in 2005 before it became Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.
She has attended a variety of groups and meetings, accompanied by a sign reader. Some of the things Sui has been involved with are:-
- Self Directed Support events
- Telecare and Equipment User Reference Group
- Adult Social Care Therapy Team South East Coast Ambulance Service
Sui Ling plans to show the impact that policy decisions have on the deaf and to promote deaf awareness. She feels it is important for all people to get on, regardless of disabilities and communication difficulties and for people with disabilities to live as independently as possible.
Sui Ling’s aims are as follows:-
- to communicate developments to deaf people and others
- to consider and agree plans for better services
- to learn to debate/be included in discussions with Local Government and the decisions which affect us
